about me

For most of the year I teach high school English and media at Judge Memorial. In the summers I teach teachers in the Overseas Cohort of Michigan State's Master's in Educational Technology (MAET) program; this takes place in Galway, Ireland – the world's friendliest city. Additionally I have taught a secondary methods course at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. I received my PhD in Educational Psychology and Educational Technology at Michigan State University.

I've been helping develop Youth Voices since 2005, participate in the Teachers Teaching Teachers webcast on Wednesdays at 6pm Pacific/9pm Eastern, and am a teacher consultant with the National Writing Project and KQED Education.
